The last film I saw was Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator, a 1940 film (begun and set, however, before the War) mocking Hitler (whom Chaplin plays, though he changes Hitler's name) and highlighting the Jews' plight from the perspective of a Jewish barber (whom Chaplin also plays) who has just come out of military hospital with amnesia sustained while fighting in the First World War and consequently, knowing nothing of the emergence of the Third Reich, receives a nasty shock.
