Do you mean met James or the guy on the course? I've recovered since thanks and yes that was a weird kind if discovery. The guy who's mates with James is also a bit similar to James himself, which I told him he reminds me of James and that I actually would've believed him if he told me that he was James' cousin, which he isn't. I haven't got a chance to speak to him yet because the guys have been in Vietnam filming. Also the guy where I'm doing the course has finished, but it's very likely (I hope) that he'll be coming back within the next couple of weeks to take another course. I actually like him and miss him because he's mad and a laugh and keeps the place from getting boring. He does keep picking on me though, but in a good way.
I filled out a the feedback form for Big Ideas last night saying how much I enjoyed the series and today I got a nice email from someone from the BBCs Open University site thanking me for the email. I like emails like that because they feel personal and that a person takes notice of what you say. I purchased a software programme after trying it and loving it and on the feedback form I said how much I loved it, which was why I purchased it. I got an email back saying that they were pleased with the feedback. James is rather good at playing the piano, I've seen him play a few times such as during Top Gear like the time he played Jessica (the theme tune) as well as once or twice during Wine Adventure. He also had to compose Jessica from a collection of engine noises/notes during an episode of Top Gear. Even though that wasn't perfect, partly because he was being a purist and didn't want to fiddle with the notes it was still pretty good. James has mentioned a few times about playing the likes of Bach and Beethoven at home. He also has a music degree.
Normally science and technology things don't interest me, but I did enjoy Big Ideas. It's nice when we get to see James' try presenting style because it is a unique style.
Aparently that Clarkson Island went down really well with a lot of Top Gear fans and they loved it.
