Hehe. It doesn't help having to install every CD you get - if it were done properly it could run straight from the CD without having to clog up the hard disc. And when programs are uninstalled, they ought to clean up after themselves when they do it.

Yeah, Microsoft aren't gonna make a program that does that, unfortunately...

yeah, now that really annoys me, when it says there are some files the computer cant uninstall i never know which files they are and then don't want to go deleting files willy nilly because that's just a computer crash waiting to happen.
oh well, ;D

Maybe we should have a cunning plan for this Roxxy! See if we can get them to release software that uninstalls everything, properly.

In other words: scrub the hard disc of every last file and start again from scratch!

I got this virus, which caused all manner of temper tantrums and annoyance. I've always been quite coy and smug with the "I'm not daft enough to open a strange looking email anyway" attitude, and I never thought that I'd be honoured enough for someone to get my IP address and hack in! Obviously came as a bit of a shock then when I got the wee message saying it was shutting down every 5 minutes. Had to install the firewall and anti-virus stuff! Just a pre-warning that next time they strike, the virus will be a lot worse, me thinks Hopefully it's alerted more people to be more safety concious about the PC - me included ;D I apologise for bringing this up as it's old news now! Sigh, always behind with the times, me...
