I was thinking about this for a while, and I was wondering if anyone else would want to be immortal? I know there's the whole everyone dyibg thing, but I think it could be quite cool to live forever. What do you guys think?

hmm, i guess you'd take more risks, which i think is good because, well lets face it, you cant die and i think you'd really go for your dreams because you'd have forever to reach them and if you didn't then you wouldn't have wasted your life trying! hehe ;D The thread title reminds me of that song that Celine Dion and the BeeGees did that my singing teacher keeps making me bloody sing.

Sorry, didn't mean to bring up bad memories! Personally, I think it'd be pretty cool to live forever. I mean, think of all the amazing things you'll be able to witness! But you'd have to come up with explanations as to why you still look the same age! Or those peasants with pitchforks will come knocking on your door thinking you're a vampire! ;D

Yeah! hehe but then i guess if they started driving stakes through your heart you still wouldn't die so, it'd be kinda freaky, same with thinking you were a witch and trying to burn you at the stake i guess...
;D

But that would be very painful as well! heh, I suppose it could get boring after awhile though, but it'd still be fun to see what happens!

Umm I've seen a movie about this consept and a heard a story I think it was greek. In the movie the ending was pretty horrible, but it was a comedy...and in the story a man wishd to live forever, but he.... well he did live for ever, but he turned in to ground like all the other humans..... and in the ending there was wrote that he should have wished for eternal youth But it would be interesting......

I'd like to live for centuries, but only if I was invincible too - wouldn't want to fall foul of any horrible disease, radiation or anything! I wouldn't stay around until the sun died though, 'cause that'd be awful. I'd choose to go to another dimension before that happened.
I like to think that when we die, our spirits (which are what we are anyway, our bodies are just shells for us to live in, lol) can travel back and forward in time and fly through the universe. Just imagine seeing all those galaxies, planets and space anomalies close up! I don't see why not, 'cause we won't be restricted by our bodies...

That's an interesting and nice thought Gamegirl.
I would have loved to see them build the pyramids first hand, how cool?!.......

Yeah, and imagine seeing their magnificent palaces too - all that gold, hehe!
I'd also go a few centuries into the future to see if humans had started colonising other suitable planets!

Yeah, it'd have to immortality with eternal youth, invincibility with the ability to time travel. Heh, I'd love to live in Ancient Egypt. Only problem is I wouldn't know the language! ;D But I'm sure I'd be able to find someone to teach me.

The language wouldn't take that long to learn but apparently it took 7 years for scribes to learn how to write in heiroglyphs. Bugger that.
;D

Lol, has anyone seen that sketch in The Two Ronnies where Ronnie Barker "translates" heiroglyphs? It's one of his monologues and it's hilarious! My aunt gave me a Heiroglyphs game but it was a bit too hard!

Nah I haven't I'm afraid, tho it sounds really funny.
I got really into heiroglyphs as a kid, loved the fact that you started reading from whichever end the animals heads were pointing towards.
I tried to figure out my name once but it didnt really exist

I love watching all these programmes about Ancient Egypt and how the pyramids were laid out like part of Orion... And then there's Ankhor Wat in Cambodia which is laid out like the constellation Draco - somehow, they must be connected...
I've got Tomb Raider 4 - The Last Revelation and I love the fact it's set in Egypt with the mythology of that Egyptian god Setekh. I get really into it and sometimes have dreams about it!

heh, my freind was an Egyptian Princess in a past life, which I think is really cool. The person who did it is hopefully going to read my past as well.
