For anyone who gives a flying f**k, here's a sneak preview of the lyrics of the first two tracks on my album.
The Warmth Of Standing Tall
You can crack the Earth You can drain the seas You can do whatever it is That you please. There is no more hurt There is no more pain There is the golden chance to live it All over again.
Some day I may never feel so small Some day I may feel the warmth of standing tall
See the twisted Earth See the dried-up sea See the changes that have Altered me. I know no more hurt I know no more pain And I'd hate to live it All over again.
Yes, some day I may never feel this small. Some day I may feel the warmth of standing tall.
Waterfalling
The hazy glow of dusk is in the air. I am there, I am there. A warm and welcome rush of love is drifting through the trees. I'm on my knees, Waterfalling (like living) Waterfalling (like loving) Waterfalling (like crying) Waterfalling (like dying)
The flowerbeds and arching halls share the world as one We have just begun. All the people passing by have loved ones by their side No-one's ever cried. Waterfalling...
A love that lasts forever stretches back in time It is mine and no-one elses, it was here before me Of its own volition.
I'll take you to the movies but we wouldn't see the screen Loving as a team. The hazy glow of dusk is in the air, We are there, we are there. Waterfalling...
A love that lasts forever is older than the stars It is ours and no-one else's and the Sun is going down - There's too much competition.

Hey, those are good! What type of music do you play it too? I.E. Punk, rock etc...

Thanks! Actually, it's progressive rock - and very symphonic, too. The first one is an 80s-style mid-tempo rocker-type-anthem and the second is a lush ballad with lots of strings, and a dash of steel drum. I'm a stickler for very good melodies and unusual chord sequences - if it ain't the best I can do I chuck it out. As a result, this album has taken me over three years to make!

Hehe. Well, I can't see it finding a commercial release (and it's not the primary reason why I'm doing it, really) but hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to rip the audio cd it will be on, onto the computer. If I can't the best I'll be able to do is do 60-second mono samples.

I only mean that I don't think my music fits with what most people like these days. Also, if I can't put all the songs onto computer directly, I'll have to use the computer's microphone socket - but the program that records it has a maximum time limit of 60 seconds (and the microphone is mono).

Hoped it would. Flyaway The setting sun casts its glow On the trees and rivers below. And somewhere there I can find you Beneath a sky of darkening blue. I will reach you tonight, I will reach you tonight. The dove has gone home to sleep And the shadows start to creep. There's pennies in the fountains And a storm brewing in the mountains. I will reach you tonight, I will reach you tonight. And when I find you I might remind you That we have the gift to choose the day. And when I find you I might remind you That we have the gift to fly away... The stars are twinkling and you will learn That we can visit each and every one of them in turn. Take my hand and cross the sea There's so much more that we can be. I will reach you tonight, I will reach you tonight. And now you're found, get off the ground. We have a sky in which to play. And now you're found, I'll be around But now I have to fly away...
