What cruel things did you do when you were young? For example I think that I used to get daddy longlegs and pull all the legs off them.

Nothing cruel but some sick things I used to do as a kid, I used to use the underside of the sink plughole as a little 'cup' to drink out of . Once I took a fairly big bite out of a wooden door on a video cabinet, if I remember it didn't taste to bad

Hey, how was I to know that slugs and snails and salt didnt go too well together!
And I had to show my mates.......................and I had wondered if every one reacted the same! You know some may have spontaneously combusted, and you dont know if you dont experiment!
Besides I was doing a good thing, there's nothing worse then walking home in the dark only to hear the brittle crush of a snail shell underneath your feet!!!

What about the poor birds and hedgehogs who have to eat them. Surely the salt doesn't do them good.
I wasn't that young when this happened, but it was sometime about 4 or 5 years ago I believe. Anyway I saw this blackbird (or some kind of bird, maybe a starling) fly into this dustbin. I thought that it would be funny to see what happened if I knocked on the bin. So I quietly creeped upto the bin and knocked on it. Well I don't think that the bird could have flapped it's wings as fast as it moved out of there.
Anyway I'm going to add what discusting as well as cruel things did you used to do when you were a young 'un?

Nothing really Our living room used to get attacked by slugs nightly and we'd find huge trails in the morning so i stayed up for three or four nights salting them and we've not had a problem since. As for the birds and hedgehogs. When one takes up residence in my living room i'll consider letting a slug get away with it.
