There haven't been many posts in here for a few days. Hmm, maybe THIS will get people talking *engages in a PDA (public display of affection) with Phil* I should name myself "Julia Glenister" in the chatroom next time ;D

You could really do with a rule for this forum stating that celebrities, when mentioned within its threads, automatically become available... and willing! Don't let that PDA go on too long, else he won't get his Ashes To Ashes filming done.

FRIENDS, COUNTRYMEN and I've forgotten who else. LEND ME YOUR EARSI've just always wanted to say that ;D. Aah. I've been upto stuff and haven't felt like saying much here lately. I'm still around though of course. I really wish that there wasn't such a mega firewall on my course because I sit there soooooooooooooo bored. There's only so many times you can check your emails within about an hour or so before it becomes tiresome. Julia. Let Phil get on with his filming or you wont be able to see any new series' of A2A .

I think all the A2A fans will be glad that you haven't disrupted any of the filming Romana. *waits excitedly (still) for a chat with a certain Mr May* I'm sooo gonna kill a certain bloke (not James May that is) if it doesn't happen, seriously!

New member, I've missed something somewhere.
Oh great for you. You better hope for book signings then. Mr May isn't doing an accopanying book to Big Ideas. I'd say that he was probably advised not to with all the other things coming up such as Top Gear Live. Typical. That means no book signings, but as I've said he's definately saved me some money. His last book almost broke me, seriously. I haven't managed to speak to him because the guy at Seetec has finished his course (no I didn't kill him. I do miss him though). However I have heard that he is hoping to come back to do another course. I hope that he does and then I might actually get to speak to James, I hope definately. I do feel that I need to and owe him an apology. I didn't get to speak to him because the guys went off filming in Vietnam and of course James' friend couldn't speak to him much apart from the odd quick hello due to filming and time difference. His friend told me that it wasn't so much disturbing him at night (he said he could live with the consequences of that) but he definately didn't want to disturb them during a filming session and he's right. There wouldn't be anything worse than being in the middle of filming a drive and someone phones you up on your mobile. Oh well it's a case of wait and see and hope now. I do hope that his friend is back within the next week or so before the episode filming as well as Top Gear Live because then that will be that then. I've heard that he's unlikely to be back this week so hopefully next week during half term week when I don't have college because I would say that next Monday and possibly Tuesday would be the best two days. Also Tuesday just gone would likely have also been a good day.
I'm now wondering why I took two college courses because things are now getting too much for me. I'm finding it hard to think to do my application forms. Even the easier bits such as education and employment history I'm struggling with because I just can't put my brain into action. I'm finding it hard to remember the signs for sign language because I don't get around to practicing. I've got some English homework to do as well, which I need to try and get my head around. Everything is exhausting me and making me tired. I've had a couple of days where I've had atleast 8 hours sleep and then a little while later I've had another couple of hours sleep. I really don't want to give up English, so I might have to give up signing.
I was thinking of going to our town's annual fireworks but today I've felt that I don't really want to go now. I am finding that stuff that excited me a few years ago doesn't anymore. I also don't know if I'm going to be upto standing in the crowds either. I've just had a lot of stuff lately get to me especially with our kitchen being done and everything all upside down, inside out and back to front. Oh and I'm really fed up with cheese sandwiches now.

Cor it's gone quiet and a bit dead here like almost everywhere else on the internet I go. Where'd everyone go?
Got my first sign language exam Thursday and my English group presentation the week after next, which I am not looking forwards too.
Now here's a surprise, we're still waiting for the kitchen to be finished.

Sorry I've not posted for a while. Good luck with your exam. Sign language is an admirable skill to have, and you should be proud! I hope that living with an unfinished kitchen isn't adding too much stress. What will your presentation be about?

Thanks. I've been finding it hard to remember the signs, but I am now confident for Thursday. As for the presentation I'm still not sure. I was thinking of doing something about the internet, but that's going to be a huge topic to take on. I might do something on wolves or perhaps chickens. My friend's son told me that I should do my topic on fish.
Kitchen is useable and it's basically tiling and putting the top on one of the cabinet units left to do. So I'm not stressed now about it. The only stress I have now is wondering that I might have an abcess or wisdom tooth coming through. I hope not with either because I don't want to have to have anything removed if it involves anaesthetic.

I don't envy you having a presentation coming up, I always hated doing talks when I was at school/college. Good luck with that and the sign language exam though, I'm sure you'll sail through them with no problem

The BSL exam went fine and much better than I thought. Even though I was confident I was still having sort of jitters last night. I wasn't nervous though. I went into the room and my tutor told me the needed requirements to pass and then we had a practice run which she prompted and reminded me anything that I was struggling with. Exam wasn't too difficult. To start the day I overslept and was almost late. I managed to get the bus, into town and then to college on time and up to the room a little bit early. Thankfully the rush didn't cause me stress.
I'm not looking forward to next weeks presentation. I hate talking to more than two people at once. I used to work in a nursery and hated doing story and singing times. Last time I did English at college I was very nervous with doing my presentation. I am thinking though that I can't be any worse than a couple of the students who did theirs yesterday. The poor girl who went first I am pretty sure is going to get a low mark because she had her back to the group and even though I wasn't very far from her I couldn't hardly hear her (didn't help that she was second or third gen Indian accented either). I think she was also reading from a script. I was thinking at the time that is three things not to do for the speaking and listening. Three of the other students who did their presentations were really good. One in particular seemed really confident and she presented really well to the group. She hardly read from cards and she spoke about the right level and clearly. I think that is the difference though it seems between the younger and older students. The older ones are confident because they've had various experiences around people and they have the maturity. The younger ones lack the confidence, experiences and maturity. I am feeling more of an older, mature student now then I did during my last English course a few years ago. I am also thinking a lot clearer this year than ever.
I think I will do my presentation on Wolves. I have a basic book aimed at school aged kids, which has quite a lot of info. I can also find quite a bit online including Wiki. Yesterday I was thinking that it was either going to be that or Ragdoll cats. I looked online yesterday and couldn't find much on the cat breed apart from mostly websites with breeders and sellers lists.
