Have you met or seen anyone famous in the flesh? It doesn't have to be well known famous people/celebs. I haven't met/seen that many people but a small few. They include: Henry Cooper. I don't remember but this is what my mum told me. I was small and I think he held me. She said that he thought I was lovely. Aaaaaaaah. Our previous football chairman. He gave me a certificate, we had a couple of photos taken and a brief chat. Kieran Dyer. Not to speak to but by sight in the corridores a couple of times at high school. He's a couple of years older than me. A girl I was friends with at school knows his and I think Richard Wright's families because she lived near them. People from local radio and tv. One of our local ITV news sports reporters used to be on our local radio and whenever he saw me would always say hello to me. Now why can't all famous people be like that. James May. I went to a book signing in June and got to give him a hug. He's lovely and quite cheeky. He moaned about my hair. But I did sneakily use him as my personal arm rest . I think that's it. Other than that my mum told me that one day a few years back she saw Griff Rhys Jones in our town. Quite a few years ago my grandma won a prize and there's a couple of pictures I think we've got where Nicholas Parsons is holding her and she's really happy with a bottle of bubbly in one of her hands.

A few years ago, I happened to be in Leicester Square on the night of a film premiere. Through the crowd of onlookers and photographers I saw one or two celebrities arriving. The one I caught the best glimpse of was Robbie Coltrane. It was an odd sensation: I'd seen him countless times in image form, but seeing him in the flesh somehow made him real!

There's an actor in Coronation Street at the moment who comes from the town I live in and a lot of people in the town (including my mum and I) know his mum because she used to be a postie here for years. She retired a good few years back and I've read in interviews with her son that he comes up to see her most weekends if he can. Yet I've never met him once which is a tad annoying as I'd like to.
The actor in question is Gray O' Brien, who plays Tony Gordon. It's cool seeing someone from my town have a major part in a soap like Corrie ;D He also starred as Rickston Slade in the Doctor Who Christmas Special "Voyage Of The Damned" - the one with Kylie in it ;D

That reminds me - while out shopping earlier this year, I saw an actor from Voyage Of The Damned! It was Debbie Chazen, who played Foon Van Hoff. Harry Hill has been merciless about Tony Gordon's eye on TV Burp! Apparently he was asked to stop though, as it's a genuine medical condition that Gray O'Brien suffers from.
