That's a good list, there's a good selection there of modern and funky and rocky and cool, and as if I'd ever take the mick out of Darius! Me Mum loves him and I think he's good (although I can't claim to have brought his album)
;D

I had problems with just 5 songs so I just kinda put down the first five songs that came into my head!
In reality I've probably got about 50 fave songs! hehe

Thank you for liking Darius ;D There's just so many people out there ready to diss him, who think he's arrogant when he isn't, and they always go on about that Popstars incident - that's ancient history now! And then there's all the made-up rubbish in the tabloids about him dating loads of girls at the same time. Darius is a lovely, caring, sweet guy, yet he really gets a hard time of it. They should just leave him alone.

I had to pay my mum a portion of the phone bill when Pop Idol was on, because of the amount of times I voted for Darius! I'm kinda glad he didn't win though, because if he did he wouldn't have the freedom to write his own songs. Will was quite good, but I can't stand Gareth Gates stuff. He's gone a bit out of control I think - I mean, Jordan!

Gareth Gates is just for the Tweenie market really, his album'll be out before Christmas and after that I give him about 3 months. Busted have taken his place.

There are too many people singing songs and too few people making music these days, imo.

I know what song isn't in my list of faves - that terrible Fast Food song! It's so stupid and too much fast food isn't good for you, so they shouldn't be 'singing' the way they do about it! And those terrible outfits the people wear, they're just a joke! Get that song - and them - away from me!

Indeed. The biggest joke is: if they stuffed themselves with all that food all the time, they wouldn't look anywhere near as good as they do.

The problem is that wee kids with pocket money buy rubbish novelty songs and stuff by Gareth themselves, or pester their parents to get them for them! That's why shallow songs do so well in the charts. And all the talented artists don't even get into the top 20 most of the time because of this. Sure, album sales for them are better but it's still painful to see novelty songs in the charts.

Too true.
I got King Crimson's latest album The Power To Believe earlier this year (it was released this year, too) and it's one of the most challenging and powerful albums I have ever heard (and beats the living sh*t out of OK Computer in the process!) and yet it didn't chart in the UK and made only #150 in the US!
