Hi, good to hear from you. I hope you're well, and that you'll pop back again to post in the future, both here and on the main forum.

Thanks guys. I will hopefully. I don't have much to say on the other board now though I'm afraid.
Hey, where'd everybody go?

Yeah, it's the same with me - I guess there's only so much you can discuss about KM before everything's been said. I do still have a look there now and again, but mostly I just read any new posts rather than reply.

I'd been upto all sorts of things over the past couple of years that I sort of but not completely forgot about the board and then was reminded about it. Part of it also was change of interests as well. I do lurk occasionally but don't really have much to say. I was active and then I wasn't and now I am again on LJ quite a bit now though. With this board being a general board there's more stuff you can talk about. It's just ashame that it's not very active.

I guess there's only so much you can discuss about KM before everything's been said. I think it's a shame when people feel that way, because I never have. The nature of most forums is that people can come and go as they wish, which is why forums sometimes become quieter than we'd like. All I can really do on the main forum is keep posting, and hope that people will reply to my posts if they want to. Doodles (or can I call you by your real name?), have you thought about returning to the Knightmare Roleplay Forum, either as Flower Girl or as a new character? You'd be very welcome. Romana/Julia came back there after a long absence, and I think she's glad she did. *Looks at Julia for confirmation*

Actually my real name which might come as a big surprise is Debbie and yes you can call me by my real name, I don't mind. I got bored with my old one and also wanted a total change as well. As for the RP forum I would but as I tried and what I tried didn't work out. I also don't think I'd be very active either. I'm ok offtopic general roleplaying but not at character roleplaying as such. I'll have to think about it for now, which could take a while because of everything which is going on with myself and with my mind pre occupied with stuff. Right now I'm doing enough multi-tasking as it is.

It's not multi-tasking if you only do things one at a time. Seriously, there's no rush. As long as you know that you're welcome to return there if you decide that you'd like to. The Moderators will gladly help you with any difficulties. I already knew your real name, which I remember came up once on the main forum. I just didn't want to use it without your permission, as some people prefer to stick with usernames. I often prefer using real first names online as it feels friendlier to do so.

I forgot about that because that was a very long time before the upgrade way back. Thanks for that I will hopefully come back in time even if it just is to say hi again. I might also change my screen name there to Debbie as a change from here because I'm board with the other now and want a change. I am having to multi-task offline at the moment though. As for a long time way back then I've often wondered whatever happened to GG because he was there a lot and then he wasn't. He then popped in if I remember once or twice then seemed to vanish which was strange and worrying to say the least. At one time I thought he was someone I knew personally with the same first name and a similar personality who was into fantasy stuff and about the same age so I asked this person I think if they belonged to any message boards and I think they said no. So they weren't the same person. I don't mind using my real name because there are other people with the same name as me. I belong to one board where it seems that half the members are called Debbie, Deb, Debs, etc.

GG was the forum's best poster, and it's a great shame he disappeared. He posted up until the end of March '04, then didn't for two weeks, then made 3 posts in mid-April '04, and nothing since. Possibly he too was juggling a lot of tasks, and Knightmare posting was one activity that he had to let go; or maybe he saw changes in the atmosphere of the forum he didn't feel comfortable with; but I wish he'd made a goodbye post to explain things. I tried sending him messages last year, but there's been no response. He's such a loss to the Knightmare community that I'd actually pay to see him posting on the main forum again!
The only other Debbie I know in the Knightmare community is Debz_G, so as long you don't spell your name with a z, there shouldn't be any mix-ups. ;D

Yeah I do remember Debz. Has she been around much in the past couple of years? GG was such a loss and definately one of those members who's been missed. I do hope that he'd remember the board one day and pop in. I That reminds me of another board I belonged to. The owner would post regularly and then all of a sudden vanished without trace and no one has had any idea as to whatever happened to him. The board was a premium one and then when the subscription renewall time was up there was no one to pay for it and so the board was gone because the other admin I don't think had any rights or something. And talking about owners whatever happened to Pick1e?

Debz is still active from time to time. Although Pickle hasn't posted here since 2005, his profile page reveals that he's visited the forum a lot more recently than that. I've written to him in the hope that he will change the settings of the forum so that new members can join and post without having to wait for a Moderator to approve their account, as this has been a problem. I'm not expecting to hear back from him though. It's a shame when a forum or website has to close because the owner is absent or too busy. I know that Illusion wants to 'move on' from knightmare.com, but at least he's informed members of this, and is looking at ways to keep the site running. Having Mods to help out is often a good thing, though not so much on this forum, where none of them has made a post for years.

Yeah typical. I'm an admin for another board which went from being busy to being dead. The owner has changed it about three times and nothing. Did the settings here not change at the last upgrade? I have my own proboard and I set it to members having to wait for acceptance but I don't remember that changing but when I last went there a member had been validated that I don't remember accepting. Unless it had here and Pickle reset it. It is annoying because I bet there's a lot of members who want to join the chat here.

I don't know what this forum's settings are now. Obviously if ProBoards forums can develop minds of their own, like yours did, then it's even harder to keep track of it.
Maybe we should try and get PhoenixFlame to return here properly. She's still around, as she posts on the Roleplay Forum; and being a Global Mod here, she should be able to find out the forum's settings, and possibly change them herself. I'd be disappointed, though, to ask her and then find out she wasn't that interested in giving this place any of her time. I reminded Skarkill about this forum last month, hoping that he'd drop by and make some posts, but unfortunately he hasn't yet.
I think it's fair to say that this forum isn't in wide demand. But in my opinion, an off-topic forum for Knightmare fans is as good an idea now as it was 5 years ago, and I hope it will stay open for anyone friendly who wants to post here, old or new. Even having just two other active posters makes it worthwhile for me.
