Anyone got a PS2 (or any other games console)?

The other day I bought a brand spanking new PS2 with 3 games (Tomb Raider - Angel of Darkness, Baldur's Gate and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X) and I'm addicted to playing it already!

I've also got a GameBoy Advance, plus the PC games I've got of course (I'm not gonna buy any more PC games though, I don't want to keep upgrading it all the time - too costly).

So, has anyone else got one or more consoles?

I only have a PS1 at the moment! But I'll be getting a PS2 later! ;D Try Final Fantasy games, they're very addictive! ;D

Yea, I will! I saw Final Fantasy X in the shop I bought the PS2 in - I'll save up for it. I've read great reviews about those games, I'll need to try and collect them all over time. When are you getting your PS2? It's smaller than I thought it would be but it's cute and the joypad that comes with it is one of those ones that shake when something like gunshots happen in some games - lol, sometimes it gives me a fright!

Lol well I'll just explain that I don't have any experience of playing it but I'm intending to. I also don't have a clue about any of the characters (except the ones in the Final Fantasy film which I've got on two blank CD's - a college lecturer copied it for me, lol) so I've got a lot to learn!

i had a Game Gear but it got nicked

i intend to add the GameCube and MegaDrive to my collection ASAP.

as far as recomendations go, id advise the PS2 and GC, NOT i repeat NOT the Xbox. both PS2 and GC have some quality games on them and Xbox just canty compare. for final fantasies and PS2 will cover you all the way so far and when it gets online FFXI should be working too. if you love sonic the hedgehog (like me...hence the soon to be megadrive owner) then you wont go far wrong with a gamecube (yes i know sega selling sonic to nintendo is sacrilage but hey...i cant help it)

here's how my list of FF runs...

FF1-3 - i havent got yet
FF4-6 - i really enjoyed...a nice challenge after the later, easyier games
FF7- my one true love
FF8 - it nearly made me shoot myself...sorry PF, i know you like it from your sig but the story was just blegh
FF9 - bit more cheery thank god, nicely worked but a little too easy for my liking
FF10 - first PS2 FF was a bit iffy IMO but enjoyable none the less
FF11 - i plan to boycott to teach Square not to revolve FF around the almighty dollar

oh and i plan for a GBA (game boy advance) though i may get the GBA-SP if it feels good in the hands. if not then GBA + burner + Rechargable batry pack it is. probs cost less than the GBASP anyway ;D

Wow, you're lucky having all those systems! The ones I used to have were:

Spectrum ZX - remember that?
MegaDrive (with all the Sonic games)
GameBoy Classic
GameBoy Pocket (I gave the Classic one to my niece once I bought this - she's got the Pocket too now)

Now I have:

PC - I've stopped buying games for it now 'cause I don't want to constantly upgrade, it's too costly.
PS2 - just bought it, I've only got 3 games at the mo but there's loads more I want, just need to save up...

Before I bought the PS2, I was considering whether to get it, an X-Box - glad I didn't now, lol - or the GameCube. I decided that the PS2 has the best games and most of the games released, if they're not PS2 exclusive, have a version for it.

not luck...just accumulated them over years and years and never threw anything away...some things i sold though (stoopidly mario kart for the SNES)

wish i'd had a mega drive as now i wouldnt have to find one

did you complete all your sonic games and get SS on them cause it's what i managed to do on PC versions of the classic games recently.

I completed all of them except Sonic & Knuckles (I kept dying on the last level ) and yep I got SS on Sonic 2 and 3. I rented Sonic Spinball once but kept dying in it too

Which was your favourite Sonic game? I think mine was Sonic 3.

I've noticed there's a cheap £4.99 game for the PC called Sonic 3D: Flicky's Island. It looked good but it was too old for my PC

Btw, I've read there's a Sonic game coming out for the PS2, Sonic Allstars or something. Unfortunately it isn't coming out 'til 2004!

about sonic 3D...not all that (borrowed it from a mate) but ill be getting it too hopefully.

fave was sonic2, nice and simple with all the stuff i loved.

what id like is to see sonic2 put itno 3D. all the levels kept the same, just put into 3D like sonicadventure.

thats what threw me about SA..its got humans all over the shop like it aint on mobius any more
