You didn't get the warmest of responses from Mystara when you tried to start a Doctor Who discussion on the main forum, did you? It wasn't what I expected to be honest (I thought I'd get an avid Who fan posting in there first), but I can see his point - I'll have to stick to new Who as it happens (i.e. nothing before WOM). Having talk about classic Who in there as well would make the whole topic a bit confusing. I'm a bit stuck at how to reply to Mystara's post but if I'll think of something It was great seeing the Doctor in SJ Adventures, he really fitted in with the rest of the gang. I love that show in its own right, the stories have been mostly excellent and I love Clyde's constant stream of pop culture references Good to have K-9 back in it too, the banter between him and Mr Smith is really funny ;D About John Simm: yes I am - his Master looks even more insane than ever now. Can't wait to see what happens next Friday! Ah, acting PM Joseph Green...I'm not sure if its just a coincidence that his name rhymes with "Slitheen"

Having talk about classic Who in there as well would make the whole topic a bit confusing. It's possible that Mystara's posts will put people off. As you've probably learnt from your own forums, when it comes to moderating, there's a fine line between keeping things in check and being imposing. To me personally, Mystara's posts in your DW thread seem a bit like a parent-to-be telling a foetus that if they misbehave they'll be put on the naughty step and have no chocolate for a week! It just seems a little early for him to be concerned about the thread getting messy, especially given how quiet the forum is these days. Anyway, he's the boss. And DW discussion does have a chequered history on the main forum: remember Tim Child's post in 2003/2004 about not liking Doctor Who? I prefer SJA to Torchwood. I was dazzled by that first episode on New Year's Day 2007, and the quality has rarely dipped since. Clyde gets funnier and funnier. And yet I get the sense that a lot of DW fans are still overlooking it, even though it's had the Brig, it's got K-9, it's had the Tenth Doctor, plus clips of other Doctors, and it's crossed over into Doctor Who - it can't do more than that! I hope I can persuade a few people to watch The Wedding Of Sarah Jane Smith when it's repeated on Christmas Day. As for Joseph Green the Slitheen: If you're thinking along those lines, then his name is also his colour. ;D

About SJA, I think a lot of people might turn their noses up at it simply because it's on CBBC, which is incredibly narrow-minded - over the years the BBC has produced some top quality kid's drama that adults enjoy too and SJA is the latest example of this. Oh well, if they really don't want to watch it just because it's on "kid's TV" then it's their loss! My Doctor Who topic seems to have taken off a bit on the main forum now, thankfully

The link doesn't seem to be working now. It was to a picture of David Tennant looking like he was about to stab Patrick Stewart during their performance of Hamlet. A performance that we will get to see on television in a matter of days! Hopefully any people who watch purely for David Tennant will get turned on to Shakespeare in the process - assuming The Shakespeare Code didn't already do that. ;D
